The Cohorted Beauty Box is relatively new on the beauty box scene but has been selling out with in hours of being released every month and has just released a subscription version of their coveted monthly beauty boxes! Cohorted offer the very best in beauty to hundreds of people every day of the week on their website making them one of the most exciting online beauty retailers in the UK and their latest releases are no exception! Their new subscription boxes are dedicated to the best in beauty and the best in fragrance and feature amazing brands like Bare Minerals, Sigma, Laura Mercier and Chanel. The Black Edition Box brings you a stylish box dedicated to full size, high-end beauty essentials that will leave you feeling gorgeous month after month where as the White Edition Box is dedicated to fragrance and contains one full size product, a selection of luxe size minis and an exclusive product sample, all expertly picked by their beauty editors to leave your olfactory senses wanting more with each edition and is released on a quarterly subscription. These new subscription boxes ensure that everyone gets to enjoy the Cohorted experience every month, but for those of you who still liked how their previous boxes worked they still have one-off themed beauty boxes available too, but the contents aren’t kept secret so they aren’t quite as fun, but they are still a great way to try discover a selection of well-known, cult brands delivered direct to your home as and when you fancy it and the boxes on offer are updated on a monthly basis meaning they are all limited edition!
What does it Cost?
Both the new subscription boxes from Cohorted cost £35.00 including P&P which makes them the most expensive beauty box on the market, however each monthly Black Edition Box has a minimum value of £70.00 and each quarterly White Edition Box has a minimum value of at least £80.00 and they are both packed with full size, luxury products and luxe samples so box after box you know you’re getting value for money. Both their subscriptions work on a rolling monthly/quarterly basis depending on which box you chose which means you can cancel at any time. Their one-off boxes range in price depending on the contents and the type of box it is, but they usually start at £19.99 plus P&P as it’s not included with their one-off boxes. Cohorted sometimes have introductory offers on their boxes and monthly subscriptions so it is always worth visiting their website for the most up to date information and I always advise reading the full T’s & C’s before subscribing to any monthly beauty service.
Am I a Subscriber?
No – I am not currently a subscriber, however this is the first month that their subscription box has been available and their previous beauty boxes have always sold out at least a month in advance which means I have yet to experience a box from Cohorted!
The Pro’s and Con’s
The Cohorted beauty box is the most expensive subscription beauty box in the UK at the moment at £35.00 a month and with such a large price tag it’s understandable that some people may be put off signing up in case they don’t like the products they receive in their box, but from looking (enviously) at their older non-subscription format monthly boxes its clear that their product choices have been amazing and the ladies lucky enough to secure one have been treated to at least four full size products like TheBalm’s Nude Dude Eyeshadow Palette (RRP £30.00), Urban Decay’s Perversion Lengthening Waterproof Mascara (RRP £17.50) and Bare Minerals Pure Transformation Night Treatment (RRP £45.50) so you’ll never feel like your £35.00 hasn’t been well spent and with top luxury brands in every box, you’ll feel well and truly spoiled every time your box arrives! P&P on their subscription boxes is free and you’ll only ever receive full size products totally at least £70.00 every month. Their subscription is done on a rolling monthly basis, so you can cancel at any time, meaning you can buy the odd box here and there as a treat if you want, plus they do have their limited edition themed boxes if you aren’t ready to subscribe to such an expensive monthly amount, meaning you can try the Cohorted beauty experience in more than one way without being tied into a lengthy contract. Their loyalty scheme – Cohorted Points – aren’t applicable to their new subscription boxes so you can neither collect or spend points on these boxes which I don’t think is great and their reasoning for this doesn’t really make sense as I can see no reason why you couldn’t earn points on your subscription because it’s just like any other purchase from their website at the end of the day! You can still earn points on their limited edition themed boxes though. Overall I love the concept of the new Cohorted subscription boxes, and I am looking forward to the day I do trying one of their boxes, but I think the price is a little high for a lot of beauty enthusiasts meaning, just like when they released their boxes monthly and they sold out with in hours, their boxes will be hard for some ladies to purchase, especially as the contents of each box is always kept a secret as I am sure some people don’t want to risk receiving products that they don’t like and possibly won’t use, regardless of the products luxury status or the fact they are full size!
