What does it Cost?
Birch Box works on a monthly subscription basis, so you have a few options if you want to subscribe to Birch Box. Firstly you have a rolling monthly subscription and that costs £10 per month plus £2.95 P&P. This is the most expensive way to subscribe but it allows you to cancel at any time as you are re-billed monthly so you aren’t tied in for any period of time. The other option is to take out a three, six or twelve monthly subscription which will not only ensure you will never miss out on your favourite monthly beauty fix, it also means you will save money on the price you pay per box during each subscription period, and the longer that period, the more you will save. You will be re-billed for an identical subscription period when your current subscription ends, however you can update your subscription upon its renewal and your re-billing will update automatically too. Birch Box often do introductory offers and offers on their subscriptions so it is always worth visiting their website to see which package is the best for you and I always advise reading the full T’s & C’s before subscribing to any monthly beauty service.
Am I a Subscriber?
Yes – I am! Birch Box was the first Beauty Box I was ever introduced to and I have been a happy subscriber for over 6 months now.
The Pro’s and Con’s
Overall I am a big fan of my monthly Birch Box. I love their packaging – it’s always amazing, as is the presentation of the samples and although I do think the selection of samples they have every month is pretty good, I have to say that I do think the way they select your months samples is more of a ‘random’ process rather than being related to the beauty profile you fill in upon first joining the scheme. They often have full size and additional bonus products that are not part of the five samples you get each month, which is always a treat, and they run a great points scheme meaning that every time you purchase one of their beauty boxes or a beauty product from their website, you earn points that can add up to a Free beauty box. The cost of the box is good, and the value of the samples you get is great in comparison to what you are paying for them, the main downside for me though is the postage costs as no matter which subscription type you chose, you always pay P&P.
If you want to read any more about Birch Box before making a decision on whether they are the Beauty Box for you, then I review all my monthly boxes in the ‘My Subscription Boxes’ Category of my Blog or you can visit their website which has reviews from other subscribers as well as information on previous boxes and any current promotions.
