Elegant Touch Limited Edition ‘Speckled Eggs’ Press On Nails – Full Size £7.95

Nail Box March 2016

Multi-award winning nail care brand, Elegant Touch is known for its ground-breaking nail polishes, top coats and transfers for over thirty years now, and these Limited Edition ‘Speckled Eggs’ Press On Nails are the latest release from their amazing Express Nails range!  These cute, candy coloured press on nails are ideal for the Easter holidays, and are a quick and easy way to get the perfect, chip-free manicure in seconds!  Although they aren’t really my style – I love the candy colours, but the ‘speckled eggs’ pattern makes them a little too young for me to get away and although I love press on nails as they give me an instant, long-wearing manicure, and they fit perfectly with March’s Easter box theme, they just aren’t a style I will wear on this occasion.

NailsInc Express Nail Polish Remover – Full Size £8.00

Nail Box March 2016

NailsInc Express Nail Polish Remover Pot is a super fast and effective way to remove your nail polish by simply dipping and twisting your nails inside the pot, making it a simple and fuss-free way to remove your polish any time, any place!  The internal sponge is pre-soaked with nail polish remover so it’s the ideal product to take with you when you’re off on your travels as there’s no need for cotton wool and it’s eliminates those pesky polish remover accidents we’ve all experienced!  It’s suitable for use on both natural and artificial nails and unlike some other nail polish removers, it doesn’t have a strong, chemical smell to it – in fact it smells like vanilla making removing your nail polish much more pleasant than usual!  This is a great little product and a very handy addition to my holiday heroes list!

Invogue Pro-Formula Suede Effect Nail Laquer in Emerald Dust – Full Size £3.49

Nail Box March 2016

This Pro-Formula Suede Effect Nail Laquer from Invogue has an innovative formulation that dries to create a unique suede-like texture.   This professional quality polish is easy to apply and fast drying for long-lasting, highly pigmented, textured colour.  All Invogue’s Nail Polishes are free from Toluene, Formaldehyde, Camphor and DBP and with eye-catching colours and innovative textured finishes to choose from there’s an Invogue nail polish for everyone.  Unfortunately the shade I received, Emerald Dust – a metallic green, was just not the colour for me and the combination of glitter and a suede effect finish just doesn’t work!  Not a product I will be using again I am afraid which is a shame as I really like other Invogue Nail Polishes I have tried!

Eye CANDY London Professional Nail Colour in Naughty but Nice – Full Size £2.50

Nail Box March 2016

Eye CANDY London is a contemporary beauty brand encompassing the spirit of the “Best of British” that is a favourite of beauty professionals and beauty lovers alike!  Created with the highest quality professional formulations, showing their very distinctive and innovative flair, Eye CANDY London nail colour is designed to enhance your nails, transforming your look from ordinary to extraordinary, and all at amazingly affordable prices!  I received the shade Naughty but Nice, a cool lilac that is a breath of fresh air this Spring and gave my nails a pretty pastel pop.  Although I liked the colour of this polish – I found it took quite a while to dry and took three coats to get an even finish, meaning it chipped really quickly which was very disappointing!

MoYou London Nail Laquer in XOXO – Full Size £4.99

Nail Box March 2016

MoYou London harness fashion and creativity to bring you the best nail art product and polishes possible!  They are truly passionate about nail art and provide quality nail stamping plates, nail polishes in gorgeously vibrant colours and the tools to cover all your nail art nails needs. Their fashion forward colour collections give you a great range of polishes to choose from and I received the shade XOXO a rich, plum toned purple that was vibrant enough to brighten your nails but subtle enough to not be garish.  The quality of the polish is good and can be used as a stand alone polish or for nail art or use with stamping plates making it really versatile and it’s rich, highly pigmented formula dries to a lovely glossy finish too!

My Verdict

I was happy to see that March’s NailBox has a nice variety of colours inside it, and that they had given you some nail polish remover and press on nails as well as several shades of nail polish to try.  I was, however, a little disappointed with the selection of shades that were chosen.  The Invogue Pro-Formula Suede Effect Nail Laquer in Emerald Dust was not a colour I would ever think to use, and the glittery, suede-effect finish was just plain weird!  I loved the colour of the Eye CANDY London Polish, but the quality just wasn’t there and the Limited Edition ‘Speckled Eggs’ Press On Nails from Elegant Touch were just a little too young for me and I would’ve loved them to have not been ‘speckled’ as the candy colours on their own world have been perfect for a pretty pastel manicure in minutes!  I thought the NailsInc Express Nail Polish Remover was a great addition to March’s box and the vanilla scented polish remover pot has made removing my nail polish quick, simple and fuss-free!  This will be a holiday essential for me going forward and the fact it doesn’t smell like normal nail polish remover is a real bonus as no-on likes the strong, chemical smell you usually associate with removing your nail polish!  I was also impressed by the MoYou London Nail Laquer.  I have heard a lot about this brand and its unique nail stamping and nail art lacquers but this was the first time I had actually tried one and I really like the quality of the polish and the shade I received, XOXO, was my sort of colour and I will get a lot of use from this polish!  Over all this wasn’t an awful NailBox, it was certainly a massive improvement on February’s psychedelic shocker of a box.  While there is room for improvement in this box, it is generally a good egg and had a good variety of products to play with!

My Beauty Favourite

My March Beauty Favourite was MoYou London Nail Laquer in XOXO as it is just the sort of colour I choose when I have a professional manicure!  It’s a lovely vibrant shade with rich, plummy undertones and looks amazing on!  It’s a great quality nail polish and is long-lasting and dries with a super shiny finish for fabulous chip-free nails for days and days!  I haven’t used a MoYou Nail Polish before and I was really impressed with the quality of the nail polish and at just £4.99 it’s a great value for money polish too!
