Your Fragrance Treats
Vera Wang Princess Eau De Toilette – Full Size £40.00
Top Notes: Waterlily – Heart Notes: Pink Guava – Base Notes: Chiffon Vanilla
Vera Wang Princess is a sheer, fruity floral rich with vanilla base notes that’s brimming with exotic flowers and succulent fruits. The scent sparkles with the captivating, sweet, tart aroma of delicate lady apples and dreamy water lily kissed lightly by golden apricot and mandarin meringue. This sweeps into a heart of ripe pink guava and the rare, coveted tahitian tiare flower, wild tuberose and dark chocolate. In the base, tempting vanilla chiffon and pink frosting are combined with precious amber and forbidden woods to wrap the fragrance in a mysterious air. It evokes the senses with everything from the magical and the mystical, to the fearless and the fascinating – daring you to unleash the Princess within!
Emporio Armani Diamonds Eau de Parfum – Full Size £39.00
Top Notes: Lychee, Raspberry – Heart Notes: Rose, Lily of the Valley, Patchouli, Freesia – Base Notes: Vetiver, Amber, Vanilla
This fragrance inspired by both the past and the present, the traditional and the modern and reflects the sparkle, strength, brilliance and sexiness of the Emporio Armani woman. The sensory blend is a surprising good match for the exquisite stone it shares its name with and has a self confident and audacious feeling about it with its mixture of rose, a symbol of femininity, which is made edible and succulent through the addition of a touch of lychee and raspberry and the classic Emporio Armani sexiness is achieved through the combination of dark woods and amber. A sparkling, juicy, irresistible, absolutely feminine and assertive fragrance encased in a sculpted, sparkling block of glimmering glass – A diamond in the palm of your hand this is truly a girls fragrance best friend!
Jimmy Choo Illicit Flower Eau de Toilette – Full Size £35.00
Top Notes: Apricot, Mandarin, Freesia – Heart Notes: Grapefruit Blossom, Jasmine and Rose – Base Notes: Cashmeran, Sandalwood
Illicit Flower is the newest edition to the Jimmy Choo fragrance collection and has been created for the graceful, modern woman, who’s unafraid to toy with the rules but never goes too far. The fragrance opens with voluptuous notes of apricot, zest of mandarin and the floral notes of freesia. In its heart is a vibrant duo of grapefruit flower and jasmine, enhanced by ultra-feminine rose and delicately wrapped in a soft and sensual musks. Sensual base notes of woody cashmeran meet the creaminess of sandalwood to perfectly close the fragrance making it a well rounded and bold statement scent.
I have tried so many fragrances over the years and some have been winners but some have been epic fails and the fact they smell nice in the shop doesn’t always mean they smell nice on you, but this has meant I have ended up becoming a little stuck in my ways when it comes to picking out perfumes and always tend to play it safe going for the same scents time and time again, so when Secret Scent Box approached me to review their new Subscription Box I jumped at the chance to give my perfume selection a bit of a shake up! Each monthly box contains a selection of three fragrances chosen by Secret Scent Box and they come in Secret Scent Box’s own branded 3ml bottles which give you around 30 days worth of fragrance in total! I am quite a lavish spritzer, so I was worried the small bottles wouldn’t give me enough perfume for a month, but having a limit put on my perfume use has actually made me enjoy using the fragrances in my Secret Scent Box a lot more than I thought and means I no longer over-do the Dior every morning! I loved the three fragrances included in my August Secret Scent Box too – I have never tried any of the perfumes in the box, but I am familiar with all the brands and as I already use Emporio Armani She I was really happy to see their classic Diamonds Eau de Parfum in the box, along with Princess Eau De Toilette by Vera Wang and Illicit Flower Eau De Toilette from Jimmy Choo. All the fragrances included in your monthly Secret Scent Box are 100% genuine that are all independently rebottled by Secret Scent Box, so for me its a great way of enjoying a selection of authentic designer, celebrity and big name perfume brands at a great price! Although the price of the subscription does work out more than the standard ‘per ml’ price of the fragrances individually, the service Secret Scent Box offers its subscribers is priceless, making it a great value for money box that will easily save people making pricey perfume fails in the future! I have loved trying my three August fragrances and can’t wait to see what September brings so I can shake up my daily dose of fragrance all over again!
My Fragrance Favourite
My August Fragrnce Favourite was the Princess Eau De Toilette by Vera Wang. I loved the fact that although I was somewhat familiar with the other two brands in this months box I have never tried any Vera Wang fragrances before and I am pretty sure it would have stayed that way if it hadn’t been for Secret Scent Box, plus I also love how the mixture of fresh fruits, light florals and sweet vanilla warms on my skin and lasts all day long! It’s just delicious!
