The Big Top ‘Mad Hatter’s Tea Party’ Box Review – January 2017

With 2017 well and truly upon us and my first Subscription Box of the New Year has hit my doorstep and this months Big Top Box is just as impressive as usual and crammed full of fabulous smelling Wax Melts hand-crafted by the wax workers over at Scent Circus!  Their January theme is ‘Mad Hatter’s Tea Party’ so this month their beautiful creations have been created around the characters in Alice in Wonderland and have a wonderful mixture of classic fragrances along with some spicier mixes that fit perfectly with Scent Circus’s fun Melt designs and the Tea Party theme!  With their Big Top Boxes being hugely popular I always enjoy my monthly treat arriving and I am already in love with January’s quirky, mixed up fairytale theme too!

What’s in the Box?

Alice in Wonderland is full of magical characters that are as unique and eccentric as some of Scent Circus’s Melts, so it makes total sense to see them feature in one of their coveted Big Top Boxes and with cute tea and biscuit inspired Melts featuring alongside popular characters from the Lewis Carroll book, I have a feeling I’ll be smiling like the Cheshire Cat after I explore this months Box a little more and I definitely don’t want to be late for this fabulously fragrant little get together!

My Verdict

I’m a big fan of the fun characters found in Lewis Carroll’s psychedelic fairytale gone wrong, and although I can’t promise I totally understand every part of his weird adventure story, I do love the Mad Hatter’s Tea Party with all its unusual guests and Scent Circus have done a great job of capturing this scene with their selection of cute themed Melts and wonderful fragrance mixtures!  The line up of traditional and modern fragrances is typical of Scent Circus and I love the variety they include in every box they make, especially as they are all exclusive to each monthly Big Top Box!  I love the fun Alice in Wonderland theme, and the addition of one of their most popular Tea Room shaped Melts in an exclusive ‘Mad Hatter’s Tea Party’ Scent is a really great touch!  The blend of afternoon tea inspired scents along with some more unusual fragrances fits perfectly with this months ‘Mad Hatter’ theme and they are also great for the time of year as they help relax and unwind after a long Festive period and give you that well needed New Year boost we all need when the weather is still sub-zero but all the joy of Christmas is over!  You really can’t fault Scent Circus and their monthly Big Top Box – the only real problem is that some of the Melts are just too pretty to watch disappear as they begin to warm up!

My ‘Mad Hatters Tea Party’ Favourite

It’s always hard to choose just one Melt from Scent Circus as they are all sooo yummy, but this month my favourite has to be the Adventures of Alice as I adore the blend of Black Raspberry and Vanilla!  It mixes two of my favourite fragrances and it’s also super cute to look at too, making it a perfect scent to start the New Year with!
